Congratulations to November’s GlobalStar Student, Sawyer Filar!
Sawyer is a 15-year-old bassist and a freshman at Denver School of the Arts, where he is a dance major. He has been studying bass at Globalsound Studio for over two and a half years and has participated in numerous 6-week and summer band sessions. Earlier this year, he leveled up to the Advanced Band Program and became the bassist for Doppler Effect. Sawyer has worked hard to meet the demands of the group, learning challenging material in a short amount of time and developing advanced techniques along the way.
Outside of Globalsound, Sawyer is a dedicated dancer who travels across the country as part of a national dance leadership program. He enjoys spending time with his friends, hanging out with his two dogs and two cats, and continuing to grow both as a musician and performer.
