Congratulations to January’s GlobalStar Student, Maria Showers!
Maria is currently an 8th grader at Rocky Top Middle School and an honor roll student whose passion for music is central to her life. She has studied voice at Globalsound Studio for over a year where she’s performed in multiple showcases. She’s also participated in several Rock Band terms as the lead singer of Blank Notice, where she continues to grow as a performer and collaborator.
Maria is an avid songwriter and lyricist who enjoys creating original songs and bringing them to life in the studio. At school, she sings in Choir and Honor Choir and was recently cast as Morticia in The Addams Family Musical. Her favorite subject is Language Arts, where she especially enjoys writing fiction. Outside of music, Maria enjoys acting, attending church, and spending time with friends and family.
