Congratulations to August’s GlobalStar Student, James Heilman!
James is a junior at Legacy High School and a longtime guitarist at Globalsound Studio, where he has been studying for over eight years. During that time, he has performed in numerous student showcases, participated in several Rock Band sessions, and completed Globalsound’s Intro to Sound Production course. For the past two and a half years, James has been the guitarist for Doppler Effect in our Advanced Band Program, performing at venues and events throughout the area. In 2025, Doppler Effect took first place in Battle of the Bands, earning the band an opening performance at Art Night Out. James also finds inspiration in song requests from his parents, often taking on songs with challenging guitar parts.
Outside of Globalsound, James has been captain of his Broomfield soccer team for the past several years and is active as a youth minister at his church. He also received the Jory Cotes Music Award while in grade school.
Congratulations James!
