Congratulations to July’s GlobalStar Student, Gweny Bishop!
Gweny’s love for music did not come out of the blue. Her parents met at a karaoke party and always exposed her to it. She was able to hit the center of notes at an early age and participated in children’s choruses in school and at the Arvada Center. She started studying piano at age 10 and guitar at 14. Since then, she has attended band camps to perform with keyboard, guitar and bass. She enjoys almost daily jamming with her grandfather playing classics of Rock. Gweny is also artistic having attended art school in Boulder and enjoys drawing and painting in spare moments. She takes her academics seriously and was given Math and English Achievement Awards last year in school. She will attend Summit Academy this fall.
