16-year-old Grant Uzzle is a driven piano student who has developed advanced playing techniques during his six years of lessons. Grant is deeply interested in music theory and loves learning about complex scales, chords, inversions, and arpeggios. In addition, Grant has begun experimenting with writing, arranging, and improvisation. He enjoys coming up with novel and technically difficult variations of his favorite songs. Grant recently mastered Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” and is now working on an original arrangement of Paul McCartney’s “Let it Be’. His take on this piano classic involves a unique left- handed rhythm and customized melodic adaptations. Grant has even begun developing his own original material.
