Music School and Recording Studio. A Part of the Front Range Community for Over Twenty Years.

Globalsound Studio is owned and operated by Mateo MacDonald. Growing up in Colorado with deep ties to the Denver/Boulder music community, Mateo started performing professionally at a young age and has played at most of Denver’s top venues. Mateo has taught guitar, drums, bass and saxophone to students of all ages for almost two decades. In addition, he designed the Globalsound Studio Rock Band Program curriculum and has coached and recorded dozens of rock bands. Mateo believes in teaching with a personalized approach and relishes the opportunity to help music students achieve their individual goals.

Globalsound Studio was born in 2001 and has been a part of the Front Range music community for over two decades. Mateo was the studio’s first instructor, teaching lessons in one room with one student. Through word of mouth, Globalsound Studio has grown to hundreds of students. Mateo’s experience in the music industry connected him with the highly skilled, professional teachers and musicians that make up our staff.

In 2020, Mateo took over the studio upon the retirement of former owner Lydia Fiore. Mateo continues his commitment to grow our programs, provide opportunities for our students, and put even more skilled musicians out into the community.

Our Services

Globalsound Studio offers music lessons, summer camps, a rock band program, and recording services. Our teachers are highly experienced performers who hold music degrees. Our studio space holds an in-house recording studio, a 1,000 square foot performance hall, and a professional stage – something few music schools can claim. We offer students unique learning experiences and real-world performing opportunities while providing a safe and inclusive environment for students of any background.

Today, Globalsound Studio has over 300 students enrolled in private lessons and approximately 60 students enrolled in the rock band program. All instructors hold music degrees and are professional musicians. They customize the lessons to fit each students learning style while making lessons fun.
